January was Health Month


Health Month may be over but there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved in health volunteering.

Here are some examples of the kind of events that were held during Health Month.

Seeing is Believing tour - 10th, 12th, 19th, 26th January
Organised by Volunteering England demonstrating the impact of volunteering on patients.

Young People Volunteering in Hospitals - 17th January
Organised by NAHCF, WRVS, NAVSM and Timebank encouraging 18 - 30 year olds to volunteer in hospitals.

Help the Hospices micro-website - 17th January
Encouraging new volunteers to give time to their local hospice.

Volunteering in GP Practices - 27th January
NAHCF is hosting an information session for the South East region to promote the establishment of Friends Groups to support GP Surgeries.
