Finding volunteers

If you need volunteers for a community project the best way to find them is by adding your volunteering opportunity to the National Volunteer Database.

The database is run by do-it.org.uk and allows people to search for volunteer opportunities that are local to them.

The volunteer opportunity finder on this site uses the database and is powered by do-it.org.uk.

How to add to the database

• If you are a national organisation you can arrange with do-it.org.uk to post your opportunities directly to the database - find out how by visiting do-it.org.uk
• If you are a smaller local organisation or an individual you should contact your local Volunteer Bureau who can add opportunities to the database for you.
• To find your local Volunteer Bureau look in the Yellow Pages under 'Volunteering' or use the do-it.org.uk Volunteer Bureau Finder.
