It's time to celebrate... and nominate!

This year we want you to help us celebrate the amazing work volunteers do every day in our communities by nominating these unsung heroes for a Year of the Volunteer Award.

Year of the Volunteer awards are for individual volunteers who've made an especially great contribution to their local communities. (Groups or organisations who you think should be recognised for their good work should be put forward for a Queen's Award - visit the Queen's Award website to do this.)

Nominations for Year of the Volunteer Awards will be collected throughout the first half of the year, with regional award presentations starting in the summer and a national awards ceremony taking place in January 2006.

We will be accepting nominations from March 2005, but to nominate the hero in your life prior to that please complete the Awards Expression of Interest Form (file size: 30 kb) to receive a nomination form in early 2005.
